KILLER EYEBROWS

This year has been the year of KILLER EYEBROWS. Bold, thick and arched eyebrows are what everyone is striving for. Unfortunately, not all of us can have naturally stunning eyebrows. The ones who are born with these eyebrows are the most blessed people in the planet. Lately, eyebrows have been the key to making or breaking your look. Sure you got the Alexander Wang x HM Collection before it sold out but how is your eyebrow game? Here are some killer eyebrows that I think everyone should enjoy.

10. George Harrison

The lead guitarist of The Beatles had one of the best eyebrows in the men category. Most likely, Harrison did not fill his in - like most of us do - and look how good they look. I love a man with nice, thick, eyebrows and i'm sure Harrison has set the standards.

9. Brooke Shields

With the amount of eyebrow articles I've read, everyone misses one of the most iconic eyebrows in the history of eyebrows. Brooke Shields practically invented eyebrow game. Her eyebrows are bold, thick, long and enviable. I adore how her eyebrows bring out her gorgeous eyes. Brooke Shields is iconic and so are her brows.

8. Zayn Malik

Many of you might be thinking, "She's only putting him in here because she loves One Direction." And you are correct - no i'm just joking. Although, I adore One Direction, I find that Zayn Malik has some great eyebrows. His eyebrows are the perfect brows. If they were any thicker or thinner, I don't know if they'd still be amazing as they are now - granted they'd most likely would because he is Zayn Malik.

7. Phoebe Tonkin

I've never heard anyone acknowledge the beauty of Phoebe Tonkin's brows. They're not like anyone else's. I admire how far the come in and how high they are arched. This look wouldn't work for everybody but I think it suits her fantastically.

6. Robert Pattinson

This captivating Hufflepuff - mind my Harry Potter reference - has such thick eyebrows that leaves me speechless. You just look at him and think - eyebrows. They're fantastic and make his face even more breathtaking than it already is.

5. Emma Watson

My favorite feminist and spell caster - Emma Watson. Alright everyone, I think we can all agree that Watson has some damn attractive eyebrows, yes? I love how her eyebrows are not at all the thickest or boldest eyebrows but they are so desirable. They fit her face wonderfully and I would kill to have some brows like that.

4. Joe Jonas

Originally, this post was just going to show female brows but then I started thinking about Joe Jonas and I had to include him. Joe Jonas is pretty much the inventor of eyebrow game. Remember back in 2008, when everyone said he had caterpillar eyes? Look at him now. The Jobro knows what it means to have eyebrows and he owns it. It's like his trademark.

3. Maisie Williams

I'm going to interrupt this post with something completely off topic - I am absolutely and completely in love with Maisie Williams.

Going back to the brows, I think her brows are one of the most underrated eyebrows in the history of eyebrow game. These are her natural brows and they put so many eyebrows to shame. They're completely solid and striking. Cara Delevingne who? (Joking, I love Cara)

2.  Chase Crawford

Being Nate Archibald is besides the point. I can safely say that Chase Crawford has the best brows among men. They're so perfectly arched and thick. Forget about his gorgeous deep blue eyes or undeniably great facial hair, I find that his brows are what makes him so much more attractive.

1. Lily Collins

I'm going to settle this feud and let everyone know that Lily Collins has the best eyebrows in the game. Look at them. They are long, arched, thick, eye-catching, full - everything you could want in an eyebrow she has. When I see her eyebrows, I want to cry - they're so incredible. I believe Collins knows that she has the best eyebrows but doesn't want to brag.

Happy Birthday: Alexa Chung!

Today, November 5th, is one of the most iconic women - in my book's - birthday. This woman is my absolute biggest inspirations in the world and is everything I want to pursue in life. Today is Miss Alexa Chung's 31st birthday.

I've been a huge fan of  Alexa for a while now. I remember coming home from school and watching It's on with Alexa Chung and I would absolutely adore everything about her. She is the person I look up to when I think about what I want to accomplish in my life. She is a Television presenter and host, a model and a contributing editor at British Vogue and all of these things I've dreamed of doing.

I take much of my fashion inspiration from Alexa Chung. I love how her style is sort of chilled, sort of chic, sort of cool, it has every type mixed in one style which is my style.

I also really enjoy reading her book, It, it goes deeper into her thoughts about many things and its a nice soothing read.

I made this post to just celebrate one of my biggest inspirations in my life. I hope she had a wonderful day and hopefully one day i'll be as great as her.

Favorite Lipsticks

If there is one thing I love - it is lipstick. In my opinion, lipstick is the most interesting form of makeup. There is so many different shades and different ways you can put it on - it's quite lovely. You can mix shades, overlap shades, you can even use lipstick on your cheeks as blush that is how unique it is. Here are some of my favorite lipsticks of all time.

The Classic Red Lip

I think a red lip is a must for everyone. Red lipstick signifies confidence and power and to me - that is sexy. Anyone no matter what skin tone or how old you are can rock a red lip. The particular color I'm wearing in this photo is Mac Cosmetics Viva Glam Rihanna in 01. I think this shade is the absolute perfect red - not on the verge of burgundy but also not to sheer and almost a pinkish color.

Plumpish

This color is more daring, if you will. Obviously, not everyone will want to wear this shade out or even wear it at all. I think it is a gorgeous plum shade that would work amazing in Autumn. I really love this lipstick from Covergirl called  Entangled. Not only does it give you an amazing deep plum color but I find that it actually gives my lips a little plumpness.

Femininely

This color is one of my "go-to" "in a hurry" shades. It is a nude color with pink undertones. Its perfect for everyday wear. I think it is a very girl and sweet innocent shade. This could be perfectly paired with a smokey eye. This lipstick is by Clinique and is called Think Bronze

Nudeness

This shade is my absolute favorite nude lipstick. Its Kate Moss' Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade 14. I pair mine with just a plain clear gloss from Lancome. I especially love it because of how well it correlates with my skin tone. It is my perfect nude lipstick.

Date Night

If I did go on dates, this is something that I would wear. It is the perfect combination of bold but subtle. This shade is by Makeup Forever that comes in the Sephora Beauty Insiders birthday gift this year. It sort of a cross between a mauve pink and a coralish orange. It is a beautiful color for all skin tones and perfect for a date night and casual days.

Autumn Lookbook Inspired by "Her"

Recently, i've just seen the movie Her. I absolutely loved the movie and was really touched by it. It was a different love story and was incredibly made. During the movie, I really enjoyed the outfits they wore. They were very indie - if you will - outfits. There were a lot of mixing patterns, collars and relaxed outfits.

Outfits

Relaxed Patterns

This outfit I focused on mixing patterns in a subtle way. I paired this black and white polka dot button up from H&M with this genuine army jacket from the thrift store to mix up the patterns. I then just added plain dark wash skinnies and rolled up the cuffs to add a more relaxed vibe. The cross body fringe bag is from Aeropostale and my boots are Doc Martens.

Oversized and Messy

For this outfit I wanted to make it a much more feminine and dressier feel. I paired this way too oversized knit sweater - hand me down - with this blue tartan pencil skirt from Tommy Hilfiger. To add more femininity I added this necklace from the thrift store and these jelly oxfords from Love Culture.

Effortlessly Casual

When I put this outfit together, I focused heavily on the character Amy. I realized throughout the movie that she loved to layer and it looked effortless and classy. In this outfit I am wearing a blue Ralph Lauren button up with a beige sweater from H&M layered on top. My trousers are from H&M and heels are also from H&M.

Fashion Week SS15

It's never too early to start planning outfits for spring and summer. Likewise to my Fashion Week FW14 I would like to share my thoughts on the designers and looks that disappointed me, surprised me and absolutely blew me away.

The Disappointers

1. Missoni - I'm going to be honest and let you know that this collection was a mess. This collection looked like a whole bunch of clothes from Stein Mart got thrown on the model. I did not find it cute or fashionable - with exception to one or two looks. It made me think of my grandmother trying to look "hip" and "young."

2. MSGM - This collection was not bad but it was not good either. The pieces reminded me of things I have seen at stores like Forever 21. They were very retailey like and not impressive.  Also, I did not understand the whole bird and alphabet print obsession in this collection. The birds and letters made it look childish and definitely like something you could find at Forever 21. Although, there was an exception to one look. I thought this look was gorgeous. It looked like something I would definitely style for Spring - especially.

3. Altuzzara - This collection was quite boring. It didn't have any dimension or anything special to it. It was something that we've seen time after time. It was not a bad collection, there were some really good pieces. It was just that majority of the looks were repetitive from other looks in the past. The one thing that caught my eye in this collection were the cut out leather ensembles. They were interesting. Not amazing and I need to have it but quite interesting to the eye.

The Impressers

1. Alice + Olivia - I thought this collection would look like everything else Alice + Olivia designs but I was very surprised. It did have the Alice + Olivia vibe all the way but with an extra edgy pizzaz. I thought this collection was outstanding and extremely wearable for the average woman.

2. Kate Spade - I was absolutely blown away by this collection. It is definitely true to Kate Spade which it very preppy and colorful for my sense of style but I cannot resist it. It is adorable. It is quirky. It is something most women could wear and be comfortable in. I don't have anything but love for this collection. Just look at the outfit on the right, it is adorable isn't it?

The Favorites

1. Dsquared2 - This collection is to die for. It was colorful and different and stunning. It is very out there but I enjoyed it. It was cool and unique and something you wouldn't expect. It may not be something that everyone in reality would ever wear but I think thats what fashion is. Going outside of your comfort zone and experimenting with new things.

2. Emilio Pucci - The 70's Mod vibe really drew me towards this collection. It was really cool and taking a spin on the mod look. Pucci made it with a very vintage feel. The neck scarves are my favorite part of this collection. It really brings the outfits together and add the elegant mod feel.

3. Moschino - Everyone and their mother were talking about this collection. I am absolutely in awe of this collection. It was so cute and fun and quirky and colorful. I must say some looks were tacky but regardless I would die to own it. The collection reminded me of the movie Life Size with Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan. It was a Barbie dreamland.

Model Monday : Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Sexy English model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is one of the most known supermodels of today. Not only is she a model but an actress - starring in the Transformers series. According to models.com she is listed under The Money Girls and Top Sexiest Models.

She began in the industry when she joined an internship in London. She came back the following year to visit the company when a new agent was working and asked her if she was interested in modeling. Her first job was a Levi's ad.

Before starring in various high fashion shows and magazines, Huntington-Whiteley shot for Tommy Hilfiger and Teen Vogue. When she turned eighteen she started working for the enormous lingerie company Victoria's Secret.

Huntington-Whiteley is most famous for her runway modeling and being a Victoria's Secret Angel. Also, being apart of the Transformers series got her name out even more.

I love a lot of things about Rosie but I'm going to be very blunt and say she is the sexiest model in the world. Even when she is not trying to be stunning she is. I also believe that she has a gorgeous sense of style. It is very similar to mine which is why I am attracted to it.

Fashion Week FW14

It is a sad time, now that New York Fashion Week is over. This year many designers surprised me but also many disappointed me. I think overall it was an amazing fashion show great designers and amazing pieces that I would love to have in my wardrobe.

First, I'd like to talk about the designers who disappointed me this season. There isn't a lot but I just felt like these few designers could've done much better than they did.
  1. Alessandra Rich - This designer I am on the fence on. I really admire how she made it unique in different but some of the outfits were just atrocious to me. Some looks were very cool in perspective and I had an attraction to them. But most of her looks looked like a twelve year old who came out of limited too with bad layering and crazy prints and lace. I honestly feel as if she is trying to be Betsy Johnson but the world can only have one Betsy Johnson.
  2. Giorgio Armani - I am not saying his collection is bad in any way but I do feel that it was extremely boring. We've seen these looks before. I could walk into a department store and find things similar to that there. It did not wow me at all and I was very disappointed.
  3. Jason Wu - Alike to Armani, it was just boring. The collection itself was not a bad collection, we have just seen these designs before. I do admit though I was very much into his big coats out of the whole collection.

Next is the designers who impressed me. I only had one designer who I was like "oh they won't be anything special just their usual" but no this designer really proved me wrong.

  1. Juicy Couture - I'm not one who is into, if you will, Juicy Couture. I always thought they were just crazy color, velvet totes and candy. This year they immensely impressed me. They kept what they normally would do but put a twist on it. It is different for them and I really enjoyed it.
Lastly, my favorites this season. There were so many who I enjoyed but after a long and hard journey of thinking I've narrowed down my top three favorites. I feel like these designers took ready-to-wear and couture together and made it work.

  1. Marchesa - This collection stunned me. It took my breath away. The designs, the embellishments, the fringe and fur. I loved every single bit of it. The whole collection were skirts and dresses which I enjoy, since they're my favorite item of clothing. The way they used lace and fringe and embellishing was beyond me. I would without a doubt take everything in their collection.
    Favorites from Marchesa.
  2. Balmain - Incredible. I loved the theme for this collection; it screamed fall to me. The detailing on the looks - tops especially - were just amazing. You can tell a lot of work went into this collection. I have not seen anything like this collection before. It is by far one of the best fall collections I have ever seen.
    Favorites from Balmain.
  3. Rachel Zoe - Rachel Zoe is one of my favorite designers because she knows her limits. She knows when something is too intense and when it is perfect. This collection has a little bit of everything which is great for people who live in an area where it is freezing during autumn and when it is warm during autumn. I love her designs and this collection is no exception.
    Favorites from Rachel Zoe.

Model Monday : Coco Rocha

Coco Rocha, born Mikhaila Rocha, is a canadian fashion model. She is currently signed to Wilhelmina Models. She was discovered at an Irish Dancing competition when she was approached by an agent named Charles Stuart. Her mother kept rejecting the offer until she caved in. When Rocha started, she said she had no knowledge of fashion or designers and had asked her friends to help her out.

In 2007, she was featured alongside of Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes, Agyness Deyn and others as the new generation of supermodels. She has been featured for several campaigns including: Versace, Lanvin, YSL, Dolce and Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Rimmel and Zac Posen.

In an interview with Zac Posen during this years New York Fashion Week, Posen made a comment on Rocha. He commented saying the two were extremely close friends and Rocha has worked for everything she has received.

My favorite thing about Rocha is definitely her poses. She knows how to pose. In my opinion, she is one of the best models because of her body language. She can create different facial expressions and moves her body. She knows what modeling is. I also adore her voice on body positivity and eating disorders. She has been told in her career that she need to loose weight because of the anorexia trend. I love how she opposes it and is working to help people in those situations. She also has campaigns for photo-shop free works and help human trafficking. I think these works she does goes to show that she is not just a pretty face in your magazine and she is a real person who cares about real issues.

(Iconic) Model Monday : Tyra Banks

I know all of you know who the gorgeous Tyra Banks is: the queen of modeling, talk show host, the legendary Victoria's Secret Angel, the actress of everyone's favorite movie Life Size and the host of America's Next Top Model. From supermodel on the catwalk to A-List celebrity, this is Tyra Banks.

Growing up Tyra says she was very self conscious. In one interview she talks about how skinny and tall she was growing up and if people told her she was skinny she would cry in her room. When she first started modeling in the 90's she says she doesn't think she was any good but she booked over twenty-five modeling jobs within a week. She was a threat to many other models including fellow supermodel, Naomi Campbell. There seemed to be a run in where Naomi wanted to kick her out of the business, so Tyra would not steal her spotlight.

When she began to get noticed, she branched out into TV. One of her first television jobs was for the famous show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where she played Will's girlfriend, Jackie.

By late 90's, Tyra was everywhere. She was the first African-American women to model for Victoria's Secret, Sports Illustrated and GQ magazines. She also released a book around this time about her thoughts on self-esteem and makeup tips.

In early 2000's, she walked her first ever Victoria's Secret fashion show, launched the first episode of the hit reality show, America's Next Top Model, and also launched her talk show The Tyra Banks Show.

In 2007, Tyra was criticized for gaining weight. She took out onto the media and said "I Still Feel Hot" and remained positive about her weight telling critics on her talk show to "Kiss My Fat Ass!"

In 2010, She decided to cancel her talk show by saying "Sometime you've got to leave when your on top."

Now, She still hosts America's Next Top Model on Monday Nights on the CW and is an A-List Celebrity.

Tyra Banks is an inspiration to many - including myself. She teaches girls and women today that they are fierce and beautiful no matter what their size. She is a big body positive advocate and a fashion icon.

"Self-love has very little to do with how you feel about your outer self. It's about accepting all of yourself." -Tyra Banks
